Description

These limited edition wooden soap dishes are made from beautiful spalted turkey oak, oiled to show off the natural grain and dramatic contrasts of the wood.

This timber was taken from a turkey oak limb that was blown down during a storm – in fact the tree is still growing in the grounds of a school in Worcester, which was famously attended by the composer Sir Edward Elgar. The timber is spalted, which means its unique grain patterns have been highlighted by fungus growing on the wood. Spalted timber is highly prized by woodworkers for its unrivalled beauty.

Handcrafted by local artisan Steve Dignam of Wuzzlewood, each soap dish is completely unique, designed to be the perfect size and shape to store your Gower Lavender soap and keep it well-drained between uses.
