Time for one of my favourite lavender recipes, although perhaps you’ll need to save it for a gloomy day. This warmly spiced, luxurious porridge is the perfect autumn breakfast treat, but also works beautifully any time you want something satisfying and full of goodness.
Ingredients
(Serves 2)
One clementine, halved horizontally and segments popped out
120g porridge oats
400ml milk of your choice (add an extra 100ml if you like runny porridge)
1 tsp lavender syrup
2 tbsp marmalade (I like Gower Preserves Mandarin Orange)
A sprinkling of cinnamon
Method
1. Combine the oats and milk in a microwavable container.
2. Microwave for 2-4 minutes depending on the power of your microwave. Keep an eye to make sure it doesn’t bubble over.
3. Stir in the marmalade, clementine segments and lavender syrup.
4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
